Aakash Arumugam, a junior at Sacramento Country Day in California, was second in the Division 5 boys race at the subsection race for the CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds at Frogtown in Angels Camp. Arumugam covered the 3-mile rain course in 15:49.7 to help Sacramento Country Day take the top two spots and finish fifth overall with 102 points to advance to the Nov. 12 section final at the Willow Hills course in Folsom.
