Broen Holman, a sophomore at Sonora High in California, won the Division 4 boys race at the subsections of the CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds at Frogtown in Angels Camp. Holman covered the 3-mile raincourse layout in 14:39.5, the fastest performance of the meet, to advance to the Nov. 12 section final at the Willow Hills course in Folsom.
